Is there an animal that's biologically immortal?
Yes: a tiny jellyfish, Turritopsis dohrnii, can reverse its own life cycle. When it's injured, old, or stressed, instead of dying it transforms back into its juvenile stage and starts over. In theory it can repeat this without limit. It's not indestructible, but it doesn't die of old age.
